Virmach.com VPS Review
Virmach is a relatively young professional webhosting provider as it was only founded in 2014. Still they already run 11 data centers, nine of them in the US and two Europe, which means that they could grow rapidly and sustainably within those few years.
Besides cheap Linux VPS, Windows VPS, shared and dedicated servers, the service offers proxy and VPN for secure or even anonymous internet connections. DDoS protection also belongs to their core services.
Like many other hosting providers they only operate with modern SSD disks by default. Their Websites claims that they have the “best and cheapest VPS” – a statement we wanted to investigate immediately. So let’s have a look at their VPS offers:
Virmach.com VPS
The most popular VPS plan costs $10 / month and comes with 50 GB SSD, 1Gbps, free DDoS protection if you choose the Buffalo NY data center, any operating system of your choice such as Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE, Liux Mint or another custom OS.
Additionally customers can choose some extra features on top at extra cost. Those are premium support and management, a DDoS filtered IP (available only in the Los Angeles data center), bare metal backups (just $3 per month!), higher CPU performance and High Disk Operations. That way VPS plans can generally be upgraded.
Linux VPS
The Linux VPS plans are the cheapest, as it is common among vServer providers. Here are the plans starting from $7 per month only.
Price-performance is in an excellent ratio as the smallest package already contains 2GB RAM, 50GB storage, 3 CPU vCore and as much as 2TB bandwidth. So this is pretty amazing for 7 bucks only.
Their Micro+ plan is somewhat outstanding since no other VPS providers has a comparable offer for projects that need little capacities, especially in terms of small RAM. $1 per month for 192 MB RAM, 1 CPU vCore, 10GB storage and 250 GB transfer is a pretty cool offer if this suits your needs.
All Linux server plans come with 1 dedicated IPv4 address.
Windows VPS
Virmach makes server backups for free which is pretty cool since this is often an additional service which is only available at extra cost. Free backups are included in all their major lines of plans and server locations.
Virtual Dedicated Servers
If you need a dedicated server meaning you get the entire server’s capacities, not only a share, then you pay from $80 per month up to $160. Reasonable prices for dedicated VPS if you compared it to other players on the market.

Bottomline
Virmach operates on very high standards and offers vServer packages at very reasonable prices. Although don don’t exist many years their great success and short term growth proofs that they are definitely worth a try. The good thing is also that you can cancel your server at any time if you choose a monthly subscription, so you won’t be stuck in a long term contract. However, quaterly or annual contracts are cheaper, which should be considered if money plays a role.
